Cruise

Nearly 13.5 million people went on a cruise worldwide in 2009. In fact I know 11 people that went on a cruise in 2009. Those people are also all part of my family. My Dad, Mom, Kyle(he’s my brother), Connor(my other brother), Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Mike, Aunt Kelly, Courtney(my cousin), and Brittany(my other cousin), went on a cruise in 2009. We went to several destinations or islands and gained a few memories that will stay with us forever. Since I had an amusing time aboard the Royal Caribbean, I think that everyone should go on a cruise before they get to old and the prices get super high.

The cruise boat I went on had to be one of the best cruise boats that they have. The boat had almost everything that a boat could have. For breakfast, lunch, and dinner, the cooks prepared a HUGE buffet of mouth-watering food. When we sat down to eat, there were great views of the ocean from 14 floors up. There were also two gigantic saltwater pools which hurt my eyes when I got water in them because I have contacts and that makes it sting even more. Another tremendous part of the cruise was when they gave us FREE ice cream; I’ll take almost anything that’s for free. In additional there was a basketball hoop and a mini soccer field but no grass. At night I went rock climbing. That was a little bit scary because when your 50 feet in the air you feel like the rope in going to snap and the wind will take you away into the deep blue sea. I could go on and on and on about the features of the cruise but those were just my favorite parts of the cruise.

One of my memories that isn’t so good happened when we were at a private island, Coco Kay, owned by Royal Caribbean. Yet the memory didn’t really have anything to do with me it still affected me. My older brother, Kyle, accidentally kicked a rock and his toenail came off, on our way to the beach where we were going to go snorkeling. He didn’t cry but I could tell it really hurt a lot by the look on his face. It affected me because then only my dad and I went snorkeling. Luckily, later that day my two cousins wanted to go, so we had some company. I saw 13 sea urchins for the first time and a bunch of exotic fish. My brother, Dad, and I have gone snorkeling many of times but this was probably the most entertaining because I saw so many fish, but the worst time because of when Kyle’s toenail came off.

Now that I’ve told you all about what a cruise has, such as, if you’re a basketball player would you want to go to play basketball? If you love heights would you want to go because you can rock-climb all day long? If you love all types of food, would you want to go to the buffet 24/7? Do you really want to go on a cruise now?
