Christmas

Author's Note: I am writing this piece for my project. We are seeing if we can improve our writing and spelling in 30 school days. I am trying to get in the habit of writing a lot. I am trying to improve on body paragraphs and my introduction.

If you didn't know already, Christmas is a Christian Holiday and is celebrated by mostly everyone. People usually buy a tree and then decorate it with colorful lights and ornaments. On Christmas Eve, you get presents under the tree and in the morning on Christmas Day, we open them. This Christmas I want about 15 things but I really want one thing. My family isn't quite ready for Christmas decorating wise. We are about 75% done and we are missing one of the most important things that we need inside of our house. Even though we weren't completely done decorating and getting ready for Christmas at the beginning of the day, I think we will still have a great Christmas once again even though we started decorating a little late.

There is one thing that I really want but before I say, here is a countdown from ten to one on what I want for presents. To begin with, number ten is new flip-flops. I want flip-flops because the ones I have now are too small. Number nine is two mini goals because my brother and I always play soccer in our basement but we only have one goal. Eighth is Kentucky Wildcats basketball posters and pennants for my room. You might think it's weird because we live in Wisconsin but I am a huge Kentucky basketball fan because of when John Wall was there and ever since then they've had really good teams. Number seven is new school shoes. I want the new t90 orange indoor soccer shoes because my shoes now are getting torn up. At six, is a new soccer ball. Right now my soccer ball is a year old and is dirty because of the indoor floor at Brookfield Indoor. In the middle is a Cam Newton jersey he won the Heisman Trophy and led his team to the BCS National Championship game. Number four is a Tim Tebow because he is a great leader and went to Florida for college. Thirdly, a Kentucky sweatshirt because as I said before I am a big fan of Kentucky. Secondly, a ping-pong table because a want to get better so I can beat a friend for the first time. Finally, the item I want the most is an X-box 360 with kinect because it has really good graphics and you can play games with your friends online. If there was one thing that I wanted, it'd would be the X-box 360 with kinect.

We were about 3/4 the way done decorating our house and getting everything set for my favorite holiday, Christmas at the beginning of the day. Now, at 9:00pm, we are done with decorating our whole house. The thing we were missing was our tree, lights, and ornaments that go on the tree. We couldn't get a tree because for the last two weeks, my dad was in China. Now my dad will be going to Miami, Florida tomorrow for two days so we had to get the tree today. At about 7:00pm, we put the colorful lights on the tree. At 8:00pm, we started to put the ornaments on and then finished in about a half and hour. We put up three new ornaments this year because this summer we went on a trip out west and visited a few new places like Grand Teton National Park, Yellowstone National Park, and Glacier National Park. We are now completely done with Christmas decorating for Christmas 2011.

I think we will have a wonderful Christmas this year because we always do. I think even if you start to decorate late for Christmas, you will still have a superior Christmas.
