Tim Tebow Essay

Author's Note: I am writing this piece on Tim Tebow because I needed to write an essay and I thought it'd be an interesting topic to write about. In this piece I am really focusing on my introduction.

Tie game, 23-23, and the game is going to head into overtime! The quarterback snaps the ball on the first play of overtime. He looks right, his first option isn't open, he looks left. He sees someone open on the slant route, he fires the ball off. Caught, and the receiver is off for the races. He dodges one tackle, then the next; suddenly he's in the end zone! If this is the type of quarterback that you would like, Tim Tebow should be a favorite quarterback of yours. Tim Tebow did exactly this during the 2012 NFL playoffs, between the Steelers and the Broncos in the wildcard round. There are many people that think Tim Tebow is a below average quarterback but in reality he is an elite quarterback.

In order to win games like the game against the Steelers in overtime, you have to be fully dedicated to the sport and Tim Tebow sure is. As many people say, Tim can't throw the football the best, but he is probably the hardest worker in the in the NFL during practice and the off season. All that practice in the off season between college football and the NFL draft really paid off. In the 2010 NFL combine Tebow bench pressed 480 pounds, his 40 yard dash was 4.71 seconds, and he did a 38.5 vertical leap. Tim said he eats a very healthy breakfast to start out his work out. He eats a lot of egg whites, a Myoplex shake, and then oatmeal or something that has carbohydrates. After his breakfast, Tim lifts weights, works on his speed work, and then finally his strength training. After his work out, he recovers his body in hot tubs and cold tubs. Tim Tebow has devoted most of his life to football.

Most NFL quarterbacks with an excellent work ethic can pull of a 4th quarter win, but not as often and as well as Tebow. When you think of Tim Tebow, the running quarterback, you wouldn't think he's a good comeback man because he runs the ball and the clock will run out of time. Tim Tebow has had six of his nine wins being comeback wins considering he's a running quarterback. Any quarterback can be a comeback king, you just have to be completely focused on the game in the last two minutes and you need to be able to successfully run the two minute drill. Tim Tebow is totally capable of running the two minute drill and he is always focused in the last two minutes.

While Tim Tebow is focusing on the game in the last two minutes, Tebow's fans are also much focused on the game and wondering if Tebow can pull of another win. Almost all of Tim's fans are trustworthy and think that Tim can pull of another win. Some of his fans love him so much that they four kids in high school started Tebowing in the halls. After a while 40 other kids started doing it and the four kids that started it got suspended for a day. Many people don't think should have got suspended for just praying but the principal thought differently. The principal thought it wasn’t a religious discrimination and they said they gave the kids a warning but the kids said that was completely false. While some people almost devote their life to Tim Tebow, some people are just normal fans of his.

In some minds, Tebow is overrated, but in others he's the next John Elway. Tim Tebow isn't quite the best quarterback right now but since he works so hard, he will soon be one of the greatest in NFL history.

  1. On one hand you have some really good things going here, including the introduction, and the organization. I would say you need to look closer at how to edit and revise, and also the conclusion wanders a bit, losing sight of the point youwant to make about Tebow.
